FOUR Oral talks at SPIE Photonics West 2025 at San Francisco on 28 Jan 2025! Wonderful presentations by Daniela Leizaola, Fernando Sebastián Chiwo, and Himaddri Shakhar Roy!
The focus was on
– Smartphone based optical-thermal imaging for comprehensive diabetic foot ulcer assessment.
– How to correct for tissue curvatures during wound imaging using NIRS?
– How to correct for melanin during wound imaging using NIRS?
– Image guided debridement and healing assessment using smartphone-based NIRS

The focus was on
– Innovative techniques to correct for tissue curvatures during wound imaging using NIRS
– A novel unsupervised, no preliminary training required generative model to segment wound boundaries.

Our Optical Imaging Lab presented 4 posters today at SPIE Photonics West conference – 26 January 2025.
Our posters focused on
– A novel smartphone multimodal optical-thermal integrated device and validation!
– An innovative pressure occluding device for small animal imaging
– Detect vascular calcification using diffuse reflectance flow patterns
– A unique passive approach to detect perfusion issues using hemodynamic maps
